02 Coating Technology

FLATCOAT® TTN Technology

The heat-resistant coating engineered for CoCr milling — where adhesion and thermal load define tool life.

[ COATING TECHNOLOGY ]

FLATCOAT® TTN Coating

FLATCOAT® TTN uses Physical Vapor Deposition to apply a special coating specifically engineered for the extreme demands of CoCr milling. The coating's thermal stability up to 1100°C means it maintains performance even under the intense heat generated by chromium cobalt alloys.

CoCr's tendency to weld onto cutting edges — known as built-up edge — is the number one cause of premature tool failure. FLATCOAT® TTN's anti-adhesion properties dramatically reduce material sticking, keeping cutting edges clean and sharp throughout the tool's life.

The result: longer tool life, more predictable machining, and better surface finish on CoCr frameworks, partials, and custom abutments.

Anti-Adhesion

FLATCOAT® TTN's surface chemistry resists CoCr material welding — the primary cause of built-up edge and premature tool failure in metal milling.

Thermal Stability

With 1100°C tolerance, the coating maintains its properties even under the extreme heat generated by chromium cobalt milling.

Friction & Wear Control

Reduced friction and even heat distribution extend tool life and deliver more predictable surface finish on frameworks and partials.
