A.L.F. Loyalty Program — General Terms (European Union)
1. General Terms
The following terms and conditions ("GTC") apply to the participation of customers in the loyalty program ("A.L.F. Program") of the AlienTools GmbH webshop. Participants can earn A.L.F. Loyalty points by purchasing goods via the webshop or via other A.L.F. Program campaigns. Accumulated loyalty points are used to generate store credits that can be used towards payment of orders in the online shop (excluding shipping).
2. Participation Requirements
Participation in the A.L.F. Program requires registration on the website. By registering, the customer makes an offer to participate in the A.L.F. Program and accepts these GTC. AlienTools GmbH will assign the customer a loyalty point account upon complete registration (which includes a double opt-in step).
The customer must provide accurate data and update the customer account in case of changes. Registration in the program authorises AlienTools to send promotional emails about updates to the program, new products, sales, etc. Unsubscribing will result in cancellation of participation in the A.L.F. Program and deletion of all points associated with the account.
If the customer determines that another person has gained knowledge of their access data, the customer must inform AlienTools GmbH immediately. Customers enrolled in our Affiliate Program are not eligible to participate.
3. General Notes
The current loyalty point balance is visible in the customer account. AlienTools does not charge a fee for participation. Loyalty points and rewards have no cash value and cannot be paid out.
4. How to Earn Points
For every €1 of the value of goods purchased (excluding shipping and taxes, after discount), the customer receives 3 loyalty points, properly rounded. For orders not made online via the webshop, or orders placed prior to logging in, no points are awarded.
Additional ways to earn points:
- Sharing/tagging an AlienTools social media post: 100 points (max 1 per day per customer; the post must be public).
- Rating/review on Facebook or Google: 500 points (max 1 per channel per customer).
- Birthday bonus: 1,000 points on the customer's registered birthday.
- Written testimonial: 2,500 points; with photo: 3,500 points (max 1 per customer; AlienTools may use the testimonial for at least one year).
- Successful referral that results in a Test Set or other purchase: 5,000 points.
AlienTools may run additional point campaigns and may modify exchange rates with prior notice in the shop. AlienTools may delete points in the case of incorrect bookings, technical errors, breach of these GTC, or order revocation.
5. Rewards
After 1,000 loyalty points are earned, the customer receives a Store Credit Code worth €10. The total amount of coupons used in any one transaction cannot exceed the value of the order excluding shipping and tax (technical limitation). Store Credits expire 365 days after issuance.
Discount tiers based on cumulative points:
- 5,000 points: special prize
- 20,000 points: special prize and access to 5% better pricing in the shop (excluding sample boxes and special sale items)
- 40,000 points: 10% better pricing
- 60,000 points: 15% better pricing
6. Expiration
Loyalty points and rewards expire 365 days from issuance. AlienTools reviews accounts at year-end to determine continuation of discount tiers and notifies customers by email of any change.
7. Termination
The customer may cancel participation at any time by emailing info@alien-tools.com with first/last name and registered email. Existing points expire upon termination. AlienTools may give notice of termination with a 4-week grace period; for compelling reasons (fraud, unpaid balances) participation can be terminated without notice.
8. Changes to Terms
AlienTools may change these GTC with 4 weeks' notice. Changes are deemed approved if no objection is made within 4 weeks. In case of objection, AlienTools will properly terminate the customer's participation.
9. Communication
All program communication is via the AlienTools website or email. The customer is responsible for using a valid email address and ensuring that AlienTools email is not blocked by filters.
10. Data Protection
The current AlienTools Privacy Policy applies. Loyalty points are stored in the respective customer account and deleted upon termination.
